About Me
I am parent coach living in San Francisco with over 15 years of experience working with children and parents.
My dedication to children and education runs deep. It started when I was just twelve and launched a summer camp out of my parent's basement (yes— inspired by the Babysitters Club). Since then I have worked with children, adolescents, and parents in both public and private school settings. Over my decade as a classroom teacher, I have taught middle and high school social studies, science, social-emotional learning, and also served as Dean of Students at the Odyssey School.
As Dean of Students, I began to hear from parents who were overwhelmed, anxious, and unsure of how to help their children. I launched parent education workshops, where I learned that parents crave a sense of community and connection, just as much as they desire expert information. I found that I was particularly skilled in offering parents a nonjudgemental and compassionate safe space to share, reflect, and learn. Through our work together, I heard from parents that they gained tangible skills, confidence, and a connection to their own voice and intuition. I knew that I wanted to support more parents in this way.
When I’m not coaching parents, I enjoy hiking around the Bay Area, sewing, dancing, and celebrating the two successfully grown tomatoes in my garden.
